Zine - Skateboarding in India

The zine was imagined as something that could live within a brand ecosystem, for example, as a cultural publication supported by a brand like Vans, where storytelling, subculture, and physical media already intersect.

This project explores the evolution of skateboarding in India through data interpretation.

I mapped the sport’s growth year by year — from its early presence to the emergence of skate parks, ramps, communities, and competitions — and translated this data into a printed zine. Each spread uses a reduced visual language that captures movement, energy, and momentum, reflecting the dynamic nature of skateboarding itself.

The project sits at the intersection of…

data, culture, and storytelling, using form as a way to make growth and change tangible.
